Invisalign®

What is Invisalign®?
Invisalign® is a system of removable, comfortable, clear aligners that gradually straighten your teeth, week by week.

Because they are removeable there are few food restrictions associated with Invisalign®. Simply remove the aligners while you eat and replace your aligners after cleaning your teeth.

You will be provided with a handy container to keep your aligners safe. Because they are thin and clear, they often go unnoticed by friends and family.
How does it work?
Each Invisalign® treatment is customised to you. The aligners move your teeth by applying gentle pressure to create tooth movement.

You’ll need to wear your aligners for at least 22 hours a day. This will help the teeth to move into the planned position and ensure we are on track to straighten your smile.

You will change each set of aligners at home every 1 to 2 weeks. You will have regular review appointments with your dentist, to ensure your treatment is on track and working as planned.

There are 3 stages to your
Invisalign® Treatment

Book A Consult

Step 1

Assessment to check you are suitable
We will scan your teeth with our iTero™ intraoral scanner and take photographs as part of our initial assessment. This creates an accurate 3D digital model of your teeth and provides a simulation of what can be achieved. We will also check that your teeth and gums are healthy before starting any treatment.

Step 2

Review
Your Invisalign® treatment is accurately planned so that you know how long it will take to achieve the desired outcome. Your dentist will review and agree the plan with you before going ahead and ordering the aligners.

Step 3

Treatment Begins
You’ll return about 2 weeks after the review to have your first Invisalign® aligners fitted. You may notice some pressure on your teeth to start with. This is the aligners working. Most patients get used to wearing their aligners after about 2- 3 weeks.

You will be given appointments every 4 to 6 weeks to check progress and ensure your teeth are moving as planned. The majority of Invisalign® Go treatment lasts 4 to 6 months.

When your treatment is complete we will provide you with 3 sets of Viveraretainers. You will need to wear your retainers every night, to maintain the result.
